This two-day intensive course provides the essential knowledge about avalanches and their risks. ⛷️🏂

You will learn to identify avalanche terrain, understand how human factors influence decision-making, and practice companion rescue skills.
The course includes both theoretical lessons and practical exercises in the Ylläs mountain area.

• Basics of avalanches
• Safety mindset and risk management
• Decision-making processes in the field
• Interpreting weather and avalanche forecasts
• Route planning and terrain assessment
• Use of avalanche safety equipment and companion rescue practice
