Two different options for heliskiing in Spring 2027
Have you been dreaming of freeriding on Iceland’s Troll Peninsula? I am currently gathering a small group of interested skiers (4 people) to secure helicopter capacity and accommodation at Lodge for our use.
Two dates available: March 7–11, 2027 (winter snow & Northern Lights) or May 12–16, 2027 (spring snow & long daylight hours).
Option 1: Heli-Assisted Ski Touring
A blend of heli-skiing and ski touring.
We start our mornings with a helicopter drop (Eurocopter H125) to the summit. After 1–2 drops, we continue on skins to the surrounding peaks. Depending on weather conditions and the group’s wishes, 1–2 days can be dedicated purely to human-powered ski touring.
Estimated price: approx. €4,190 / person
(incl. guiding, 60 min of helicopter flight time for the group, accommodation at Karlsá Lodge, gourmet meals, and transfers from Akureyri).
Option 2: Pure Heli-Skiing
Heliskiing
If you want to focus purely on heliskiing and utilize the helicopter throughout the day to reach new peaks, this option is for you. More flight time, more vertical.
Estimated price: €9,950 / person
(incl. expanded helicopter flight time, guiding, accommodation at Klængshóll Lodge, gourmet meals, and transfers from Akureyri).
Facilities & Helicopter
- Helicopter: Eurocopter / Airbus H125. Capacity for 4 skiers, a guide, and a pilot.
- Base / Lodge: Karlsá Lodge on the coast of the Troll Peninsula. Sauna, outdoor hot tub, and panoramic ocean views.
- Food: Gourmet dinners prepared by the lodge’s in-house chef (organic lamb, fresh fish, and local game).
- Guiding: Certified ski guide (Ville Strandman) included.
